Reliability of Low-Cost Near-Infrared Spectroscopy in the Determination of Muscular Oxygen Saturation and Hemoglobin Concentration during Rest, Isometric and Dynamic Strength Activity:

Miranda-Fuentes et al. (2020)

Resumen

Miranda-Fuentes et al. (2020) evaluated the reliability of a low-cost wearable near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) device (Humon Hex). The study found high reliability and precision during rest and isometric exercise (ICC > 0.90), but reliability decreased significantly during dynamic strength training due to movement variability.

Si bien los sensores NIRS portátiles ofrecen información sobre el estado metabólico muscular, los profesionales deben ser conscientes de sus limitaciones durante actividades de gran movimiento.
